You need to log in to Sydney Water Tap-In and start the process by clicking on the Building Plan Approval button. Once in, you enter your property details, what you are building and attach your plans to upload them into the system.
If your stirtcure is far enough away from Sydney Water’s infrastructure your application will be approved on online and you can download your approval letter.
If your structure is too close to determine you will be referred off to a Water Services Coordinator (WSC) to complete the review process for you. See Sydney Water’s web site for the latest list of WSC’s.
